New Town

We are staying at a hostel in New Town. Seemingly, so are most of the other people travelling here. There are Internet cafes on nearly every street and the waiters are more patient with our spanish than I suspect they would be in a less tourist-friendly part of town. The first two days here, we shyly sustained ourselves on shrimp and grilled cheese alone. Shrimp is Ecuadors third largest export and can be enjoyed fairly cheaply. Now we're slowly diversifying our meals and acclimating our tummies to the new cuisine. We try to stick to hot meals. We also split most of them so we can sample more things and aren't out too much if we don't like the food. I'm obviously hungry right now :). Time to eat!
